I'm currently working as a school nurse at this special needs school in Exeter. We're a designated High Performing Specialist School and we also hold the international award. We've been providing care and education to young people from the ages of 4-24 with visual impairments for nearly 175 years. We rely on sponsorship and fundraising through events to provide specialist equipment for our children to have a memorable experience at WESC. They are an amazing group of young people who show immense courage against all the odds and I consider it to be a real privilege to be able to work with them.

Up until a few months ago, I had never run more than about a mile in my life so this is going to be a real challenge for me but is a small price to pay to see these young people thrive in an environment which encourages them to live as indepently as possible.
