Story
Remember last time I did an abseil, and when I was safely back on the ground the first thing I said was "Well I'm never doing that again"...?
I'm doing it again.
On 10th August 2012 I will be abseiling down the main entrance of Liverpool Cathedral in aid of the Stroke Association - that's 2 days from now! The photo shows my not at all terrified face at the start of my last abseil - chances are I'll be recreating that look.
Having spent the past couple of months cajoling other people into taking part, when a last minute space opened up that little tiny part of my brain that just can't leave well enough alone said "you should do it." So I am.
The Stroke Association is an amazing charity who really believes in life after stroke. They campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery, and fund research to develop new treatments and ways to prevent stroke. The Stroke Association is a charity, and they rely on voluntary support to change lives and prevent stroke.
So please sponsor my stupidity - it will definitely be worthwhile!!
