Story
Launchpad is one of Reading’s main homelessness prevention
charities which helps some of Reading’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people turn their lives around and fulfill their potential.
A key fundraising event for the charity is the Big Sleep Out, which this year, will take place on World Homeless Day, Thursday 10th October,
at the iconic and historic Reading Abbey Ruins. This sees participants swap their bed for a sleeping bag and cardboard box for the night and offers a brief insight into some of the things you might face if you are street homeless, such as cold temperatures, an uncomfortable bed and limited sleep.
Launchpad is one of The Oracle’s key partner charities and the centre is also a proud sponsor of this important event.
At The Oracle, we would like to bring some of our team members together to raise money for this great cause by taking part in this event. Each team member (Andy, Debbie, Simon and Verity) therefore has been tasked with a target to raise a minimum of £200 for the charity (£800 overall).
Please support our team and help us to raise these vital funds which will help Launchpad continue to meet their critical mission to support Reading’s most vulnerable people and prevent homelessness in the town.
Please use the links below to donate what you can today to help us reach our targets.
No matter how much you donate, every little helps and all donations are greatly appreciated.
