So, what happened was....I decided to take part in the Weldmar Sahara Trek in November 2022 and my employer, Waterside Holiday Group, are so keen to get rid of me for a week that they are supporting me!  

I will be completing approximately 50km of trekking in the scorching temperatures of the Sahara Desert and sleeping under the stars with the Berbers and camels in near freezing night time conditions, all in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare.

Weldmar Hospicecare provide specialist end of life care and support for struggling families. All services are provided free of charge and 21% of their funds are provided by the NHS, leaving Weldmar needing to raise £18,000 per day to fund their free of charge services through fundraising and their chain of twenty charity shops and six outlets.  79% of their funds are raised thanks to the support of the local community.
