At FeedNC (formerly The Mooresville Soup Kitchen), FEED stands for Food, Education, Essentials, and Dignity. With Carts for a Cause, the goal is to fill 250 carts to feed families in need this holiday season. Each cart provides $200 worth of supplemental groceries. Can you help me fill FIVE carts by donating? FeedNC uses connections to food, education, and resources as a catalyst for change. One connection is the FeedNC Pantry which offers a variety of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and other packaged foods. The pantry is set up like a mini grocery store and grocery carts are given to guests to use to shop with dignity. The value of a cart of groceries is $200 but what this food provides to a neighbor in need is so much more. It is an ingredient for a recipe, a meal for a family, toiletries, a lunch for a child to take to school, and a snack for home. Join me and fill a cart because it takes more than a meal to end hunger!
