Story
Little steps can make big changes...
I climbed Ben Nevis on a school trip when I was fifteen. Back then we took a packed lunch and a cagoule. No energy drinks or extra layers of Gore-Tex. Didn't need 'em. Didn't need anything much back then. I was fifteen!! I certainly didn't do the three months training that I embarked upon today in preparation for the climb.
I'm sure they aren't the only differences between me climbing 4409 feet in 1984 and now thirty years later. I'll let you know...from the summit I hope.
Anyway, between us we hope to raise £1344, which is the height of Ben Nevis in metres. See, it all makes perfect sense. Well, except for the 'climbing the highest mountain in the UK bit...'
Both my nan, and Gail's Grandma suffered with Alzheimers. It is just heartbreaking but medical science is making breakthroughs all the time so please, donate whatever you can afford, if we can do anything to help sufferers and their families in the future then climbing bloody ben nevis is a walk in the park!!
Thanks y'all xx
