Story
In July, I celebrated my 39th birthday. I know what you're thinking: "Lara doesn't look a day over 21." Well, we can't all look like Tom James forever.
Ahead of my 40th birthday, I'm going to get a tattoo every month - some of you may have already seen my first.
To spice things up, two of my next 11 tattoos will be chosen by you: people donating to my JustGiving page in support of Women's Aid.
The rules are simple. There will be two winners, chosen randomly from donors over the course of the next few months. They will get to choose what the tattoos look like; suggestions are also welcome on where the tattoos go, but no promises on that front (I have a child). You can't combine donations; be honest, it's for charity.
The other thing I get to decide is how big it is.
So...get donating! Let's go wild...
Why Women's Aid
The staff at M&C Saatchi World Services voted for Women's Aid as our charity partner of the year this year. Women’s Aid helps victims/survivors of domestic abuse, the majority of which are women. The charity also supports children who have been victims of abuse or impacted by the abuse of their caregiver. Women’s Aid does amazing work across four key areas:
- Frontline support including emergency accommodation
- Providing training and consultancy to charities, local authorities, and employers
- Providing direct support and resources to victims/survivors
- Campaigning, advocacy, and legislative work
