Story
Running is a passion of mine, it keeps me fit and healthy but also gives me freedom and a place to think on life and it's challenges. Which is why I have decided to run the London Marathon, not only will I be doing something I love but also in memory of my father, Ian Cook.
In 2000 I lost my father to a cancer called Myloma. He was situated, at the time in the Haematology ward at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Of which the ward has now moved to the Churchill Hospital. (still connected with The Oxford Hopitals)
Now it's our chance to specifically help the Haematology ward to make a difference, and support, what they worked at to make sure my father was at his most comfortable. The cancer he had was a strong willed one and at the John Radcliffe they gave their all to help my father. The kindness to not only my dad but his family as well was greatly appreciated.
So lets dig deep and donate to the charity closest to my heart.
After all you only live a life once.
