Story
A revised Lap of Anglia for 2020 due to Covid-19. There will not be a group of people riding and staying together. Instead we have a number of riders doing single day rides to keep the Lap of Anglia alive until ‘normality’ returns.
Thanks for taking the time to visit Lap of Anglia's JustGiving page! A
group of cyclists are doing something truly incredible for East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). Cycling over 435 miles in just four days in August 2020, we aim to highlight the large area covered by EAAA. Please also follow our process up to (and during) the Lap at @LapofAnglia on Twitter, and our website www.lapofanglia.co.uk, and like us at www.facebook.com/lapofanglia
Since EAAA's launch in 2000 they have attended over 24,000 lifesaving missions, touching the lives of many thousands of people. Read on to find out more about the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Their crew comprises specialist prehospital doctors and critical-care paramedics, operating out of two high-tech helicopters from 07:00 until 19:00 from a Norwich base and from 07:00 until 01:30 from a Cambridge base. They were the first air ambulance in the country to attend helicopter emergency medical incidents in the hours of darkness to unknown and unlit.
