Hi, I'm Steve Lang, I'm 39 years old and I'm running the London Marathon in April 2010 for 'Childflight'!!
'What's Childflight' I hear you say, ChildFlight specialises in providing flights and holidays for sick (for example) children who require medical treatment abroad or have missed out on childhood experiences due to illness or who are socially deserving.
ChildFlight is a children's charity established in 1987. Based at Manchester Airport with representatives and strong fund raising links in the areas of Manchester, Blackpool, Wirral and the North West of England.
For more information on Childflight, please visit WWW.CHILDFLIGHT.CO.UK
My daughter suffers from the life limiting illness Cystic Fibrosis and in 2009 was nominated for the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida provided by Childflight.
Childflight not only provides for the nominated child, but for the whole family. In October 2009 over 50 families, more than 250 people in total, were treated to The Holiday of a Lifetime, experiences we will never forget.
As a thank you for what Childflight have done for my family and many others, I would like to raise as much money as possible towards future Childflight holidays.
