Story
I am doing 14,000 steps every day for 14 days, starting on the 5th April!
This is no easy task as I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome meaning I struggle with joint dislocations daily so exercising can be really difficult for me!
But I am determined to raise money and awareness, so I am doing this as part of Marrow to raise money for Anthony Nolan and fund their lifesaving work.
I have picked 14 as every 14 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer.
Marrow is the student-run branch of Anthony Nolan, a national charity that runs
the UK stem cell register. We recruit potential donors to the register, in the hope
that they’ll one day be a match for someone with blood cancer in need of a
lifesaving stem cell transplant. We also do important fundraising for Anthony
Nolan, to allow them to carry out their groundbreaking research and support
patients and their families.
It costs Anthony Nolan £40 to sign someone onto the register, so this is where
your donations come in! Even small donations help contribute to more lives being
saved. I would be very grateful if you would consider donating to this incredibly
worthwhile cause by sponsoring my challenge, or, if you cannot donate, consider
sharing this post.
Finally, if you cannot donate at this point, but are between the age of 16 and 30
and in good health, I urge you to sign up to the register (it only takes 5 minutes
and I'd be happy to discuss any questions you might have about the process) via

Thank you so much to everyone who is helping me save lives!
