Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Our £1,000 target is only 1% of the £100.000 that has already been raised.. We are obviously hoping to raise more.. Please read the rest of our story.

Neither Jonny, Ana or myself have run a full marathon before and the Beachy Head Marathon is one of the toughest in the country. it’s going to be torture. We are making some significant sacrifices to prepare for this. Lots of long runs at the weekends, cutting down on boozy Friday and Saturday nights… we know that the last bit is going to be really tough… I've got to add, we are not expecting to win the race 😂😂😂

We train on Eastbourne seafront regularly with Mike Ovens from Meads Runners, we are seeing more and more homeless people. If we all gave a few quid it would make a massive difference to those who for one reason or other have hit hard times.

Some are ex-servicemen and women that have seen active service and have had trouble adjusting to civilian life. Some have had a  troubled upbringing, broken homes, unemployment or just bad luck. Some just need our help. Please give what you can.     👏👏👏

I served with 2 Para from 1980 to 1984, one of my closest friends, a Northern Ireland and Falklands Veteran ended up on the streets after suffering PTSD. Without people like us, that includes you if you donate, he would of found it much more difficult getting help and his life back..

Please share our story with your friends and family, who knows we may raise a bit of extra cash...Please read below about the charity and the great work the Rotary Club of Eastbourne (the big part of the “we”) is doing….👍👍👍
