Trekking Ama Dablam BC to Everest BC for PACES

Ama Dablam Basecamp to Everest Basecamp · 2 November 2019
Hi friends, thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
As a lot of you may know, I go on a mountain trek every year - but this year I decided to make it a little more special.
Being half Palestinian myself, I have always actively shown support for any initiative aimed at helping and advancing the Palestinian people and situation. Palestine has always been, and will always be, in my heart and a top priority in my life. This year I decided to take my support one step further.
I decided to dedicate this trek to PACES because I love that the charity is focused on giving children, who otherwise couldn't, the opportunity to take part in sports activities both locally and internationally.
Anyone who has visited a refugee camp in Lebanon, Jordan or Palestine know that a positive environment, like the one PACES is offering, is an important and crucial addition in these children's lives.
What stood out to me about PACES is that they not only provide children in refugee camps access to sports activities and facilities, but provide adults in refugee camps with job opportunities by training them to become coaches in their programs.
The highlight for me personally was he fact that PACES is making an active effort to maintain a 50% female participation rate to encourage equal opportunity for both girls and boys. I believe young girls should always be shown that they can do anything they work towards, and PACES is giving them that chance.
Any donation you make will go a long way!
Help me spread the word about PACES so that we can raise funds to help keep providing these children with access to these amazing opportunities.
Thank you, much love ❤️ - Lama
