Story
I'm embarking on a three-day journey to hike 23 miles across
the Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains with other life science
leaders to raise awareness for the mission of Life Science Cares, which is to
support the needs of our local communities. Together, we hope to raise $1M to
provide education, opportunity, and ensure our vulnerable neighbors have access
to basic needs like food and healthcare.
I have been working with Life Science Cares in the
Philadelphia area and they have been a tremendous partner. Through their
network, we at Century have provided food and clothing to individuals facing
poverty, have mentored the youth in STEM, and have opened our doors to first
generation college students to provide equal opportunities to all.
Your generous support will be used to help Life Science
Cares continue with this important initiative. Funds will be used for three
main areas of need including:
Survival: Addressing basic needs like food security, safety,
health care, and housing to alleviate poverty
Education: Support STEM education,
college preparation and success, educational enrichment to develop a diverse
future workforce
Sustainability: Aid in job creation, job training,
mentoring, and economic development to lift individuals out of poverty
Thank you!
