Lawnet Challenge 2023 - Derwent Water Surrounding Fells, Lake District, 17 June 2023
We raise funds to provide vital therapy for people with MS

Story

On 17th June 2023 I'll be one of a team of nine hardy souls from Sharmans taking part in the annual LawNet challenge.

We will be tackling the lakeland fells around Derwent Water in the Lake District. Our route covers 13.5 miles including steep quarries and bog land and around 1267m of ascent, but hopefully the beautiful scenery of Cat Bells and Dale Head will help keep us going.

We are using this as an opportunity to raise money for our charity of the year, the Bedford MS Therapy Centre, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary. If you feel able to support us, we would be grateful.

The MS Therapy Centre provides therapies, services and support to those living with Multiple Sclerosis, to help manage their condition. All therapies are free to people with MS and they now have over 1000 members, with approximately 350 attending each week. Our aim is to help assist them in raising the £1,000+ it costs a day to run the Centre. They do not receive statutory funding, so donations are vital.

Your donations will help get us round the hours and miles of hill walking, and go to a great cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
