Story
Lace City Chorus, from Nottingham, UK, are dedicating this virtual performance to the locally founded When You Wish Upon A Star charity. The charity grant wishes to very poorly children and their families, bringing joy and laughter to what is a very hard time. Some children want to visit Santa in Lapland, other want to be a superhero for the day, or visit a football stadium. Whatever their wish, it's amazing to see the happiness it brings them.
Lace City Chorus have been rehearsing weekly on Zoom throughout lockdown and learnt this song during that time. This project had two stages. First, we each recorded an audio file of ourselves singing alone at home. These were all combined and next we each recorded a video of ourselves performing. This is no easy task and involved egg boxes, mirrors, stools, tripods and in some cases willing family members with a steady hand. The recordings have been edited together to produce this performance.
We haven't been able to hold any live performances this year, so we are thrilled to share this virtual performance with the world. We hope you enjoy watching it and if you are able to please consider making a donation to When You Wish Upon A Star.
