Story
This is not about me riding a bike for a few hours; it's about raising funds and awareness for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
This event is in memory of Rhys Manning, who passed away at too young an age in May 2018. The following are the words from his mother Audrey:
Rhys was diagnosed with a benign tumour 2 years ago. As it was deemed to be benign and not of any major concern, the only treatment was to monitor him carefully. Sadly, somewhere along the line, it clearly became malignant and turned into a very aggressive, high grade tumour. Little could be done and after major surgery to remove the tumour, sadly it grew back within a matter of weeks and spread to his neck and spine. Throughout the last few weeks of his life, Rhys was his usual positive, polite, considerate, funny, charismatic and loveable self.
I know there is always someone somewhere asking to sponsor a good cause. Even if you cannot make a donation at this time, I'd be grateful if you could share this page to help raise awareness of the work of The Royal Marsden. If you can donate, no matter the size of the donation, every penny and pound will go straight to the charity. To see where your money goes, click here https://www.royalmarsden.org/difference-you-make
