Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
16th July 2018 I was diagnosed with a large Brain Tumour. So large in fact that it had eaten into my skull and changed the size, shape and position of my brain... pretty gross huh?!
23rd July 2018 I had a Crainiotomy to remove the tumour (squatter / beasty / insert word I am not to say in public) and cement and titanium Crainioplasty to replace 1/4 of my skull.
2nd August 2018 we had the amazing news that my tumour was non-malignant however there is still a long, steady and I'll admit a little bit of a windy journey on my road to recovery.
Over 15,000 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumour this year alone. That's why on 1st October I will be Wearing Grey for a Day to raise awareness for this invisible illness.
Since 2011 the Brainstrust have raised over £100,000 to support the brain tumour community. This year thousands of people will come together to turn the world grey and show their support for people battling brain tumours, and to raise awareness of the challenges that life with a brain tumour brings.
