Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 1st July, my super dog Fitz was struggling to walk. To cut a long story short, a vet was called out and my lovely boy was taken (by super friend Helen) to the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. An MRI scan showed that he had ruptured a disc in his back which was pressing on his spinal cord, causing pain and difficulty with standing and moving.
The care Fitz received at the AHT was absolutely first class. I want to do something to help the organisation as it is a charity that depends upon donations to continue its good work helping to save our wonderful four-footed friends.
Fitz's recovery includes seven weeks of crate rest (those who know Fitz will know that this is not going to be easy as he likes to do everything with maximum enthusiasm and speed). During these seven weeks, I am going to attempt to run 100 miles in aid of the Animal Health Trust. I think I can do it but it will be hard work as I'm not usually good at sticking to schedules! It would be a great boost to know that I'm raising money for the AHT to thank them for helping Fitz, so I'd be everso grateful if you can make a donation. You'd also be sponsoring Fitz to sit on his bum and take his medication for seven weeks which is probably more difficult than me running 100 miles!
Hopefully by the time I've finished my 100 miles, Fitz will be able to run again, or at least walk off the lead.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Thank you for reading and big thanks from me and Fitz for donating. It is very much appreciated.
