Story
Hello,
Our friend Ruth has a stange abdominal tumour which started as an unlikely complication of a simple appendix operation. 3 years, 1 operation and several rounds of chemotherapy later, said complication is still in her tummy. Not only has it forced her to part with half of her 6 (2) pack, it turns her favourite food into stomach cramps and has taken opportunities away from her that we take for granted.
We're raising money for The Royal Marsden charity because of the exceptional care they have delivered for Ruth, both physically and psychologically.
Ruth is one of the fortunate ones, her tumour is unlikely to shorten her life. However there are many thousands of young hopeful twenty year olds whose lives are at least inexorably altered, and sometimes stolen, by cancer.
The Royal Marsden is partly funded by charitable donations and can only hope to provide such care and continue such research with money.
Beyond providing high quality care for these less fortunate, money would help fund such things as:
- Robotic surgery http://www.royalmarsden.org/da-vinci
- The future of personalised cancer treatment http://www.royalmarsden.org/centre-molecular-pathology
- Cutting edge Clinical trials http://www.royalmarsden.org/drug-development-unit

Please give.
Cheers,
Kyle and Dave
