Story
Cavell Nurses' Trust are here for UK Nurses, Midwives and HCAs, both working and retired, supporting them through times of personal hardship, be it illness, domestic abuse, disability, working poverty or old age. Put simply, we are ‘Here for Nurses’.
Nurses can work exhausting shifts of up to 12 hours, that’s why we will kayak for 12 hours straight. The physical strain that we will experience is nothing like the mental strain our nurses deal with every day, often facing life or death situations, but we will try our best...
Both Cam and I are new to kayaking, we have given ourselves 12 weeks to get ready for this 12 hour challenge so a big thank you is in order to The Sharks for helping us get some techniques to be able to survive this ordeal.

Please visit their page if you are interested in trying kayaking for only £6 a session with no joining fee or subscriptions.
We’ve worked out that we will burn about 6000 Calories to complete our challenge, that's nearly 3 days worth of food.
Some of the workers that this charity helps have a salary of only £18K, not much for helping people to stay alive!!!!
If you own a kayak or a canoe and have a river licence, please feel free to come join us. We will start at 8AM. More details will be given closer to the time, or if you just wish to donate some money to this worthy cause then please hit the donate link below.
Many thanks Kurt and Cameron 😀
