Story
My aunt and uncle, Mark and Nicky, will remember taking me to Pizza Hut in Hornchurch when they first got together and Nicky asked me what I wanted to achieve in life. I remember as clear as day saying, by the time I’m 21 I want to run in the London Marathon. I didn’t realise then, how hard it was to get into the marathon that goal disappeared after one application just before turning 21.
As many of you are aware, we sadly lost my dad to a sudden heart attack. I started on my teaching career, got married, had two gorgeous children and then there was a pandemic so there never seemed to be the right time to enter a marathon. Sam participated in a triathlon to raise money for Tom Moore’s 100 and it inspired me to try again and use this chance to raise awareness and money for a charity close to my heart.
Fortunately, I applied and was successful in gaining a space to run the marathon on behalf of the British Heart Foundation. Any contribution and donations would be amazing as I know it’s a big goal both in money and distance for me to run.
Thank you in advance of any donations given 😀😀
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
