Cancer is a terrible disease, to which I have lost many loved ones and have family and friends still fighting!

As well as my auntie Jean, grandad Len and a few friends who were all taken far too young from Cancer, my dear step Dad is about to begin his battle too. I also recently lost our dear Penny, who fought and won her battle with this disease for 14 months, to then be taken from us all far too soon! I am doing this Tough Mudder in memory of all these people, as well as my close friends who have won their battles and those also who are still fighting!

I believe this is going to be the hardest event I have ever done, both physically and mentally, but the strength I will use to get myself through are all mentioned above. I will fight hard to get myself fit and ready for this event, as that is only a fraction of the fight that many of my friends and family have had to endure....so for them all, I will push on!

I sometimes ask myself  'Why do good people die? 'But then realise 'when you are in the garden, what flowers do you pick first? The most beautiful ones'
