From Head to Tedd - Paddle boarding the Thames
Fundraising for Target Ovarian Cancer
Story
In late June 2018 I will be paddle boarding the non tidal part of the River Thames from Cricklade to Teddington Lock. My husband will be joining me on his own board and raising money for his own chosen Charity (AGE UK).
We’ll start our journey at the head of the Thames River and walk the first few unnavigable miles to Cricklade where we can finally get on our boards. After that it’s a 139 mile paddle down-river portaging 45 locks and paddling up to 30 miles a day. We’re expecting some blistered hands and very sore legs!
We’ll be paddling with charity donation buckets and bothering any passing members of the public for donations too. So if you see us please don’t run away.
