If you are my Facebook friend I am sure you may have already seen today’s post announcing I am a "Miss Galaxy Wales 2018 Finalist" in the "United Kingdom Galaxy Pageant".

I shall be using this Facebook page to share all my Miss Galaxy updates e.g appearances and all things pageant related.

Pageantry is brand new to me and am excited to be part of this international competition that takes place on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at Best Western Park Hall Hotel in Chorley, Lancashire.

Most of you know my mum was an ex Mrs Wales 1992 and after wining Miss Wales Photogenic in 1987 went on to win Miss Wales for 2 minutes’ due to the wrong winner being announced (yes it was a Miss Universe moment where Miss Philippines won and not Columbia) and she competed in many pageants around the UK where she met my father who was a former Miss Butlins judge. So pageants are in my blood.

After all these years I have decided to have a go myself in pageants as I have taken a short break from singing and performing.

For many years I concentrated on my singing and trying to get my name recognised in the music industry. As a big Eurovision fan I even submitted my songs for Eurovision a couple of times for different countries e.g. Romania, UK, Ireland and Switzerland just to name a few. My singing career also led to being a host of various music events and co presenter with my local radio station. I travelled Europe and USA as a Gold Host / Entertainer at Thomsons Holidays and Assistant Cruise Director on board Princess Carnival Cruises.

I am a regular guest performer at local pageants but never thought I would one day actually walk amongst those beautiful contestants. I have worked very hard over the last few months to drop from a UK size 20 to a size 12 so far - with a goal to be a size UK 10 by March 2018 and want to show that if you put your mind to it and set yourself a goal it can be achieved with hard work and determination. I am on a healthy fitness regime and it’s been invigorating and so worth it mentally and physically.

I believe that this pageant might open a lot more doors for my singing, modelling and presenting perhaps too If I am lucky and am thoroughly enjoying connecting with pageant girls from all over the globe, attending events and fundraising. I shall do my upmost best to make Wales and my family proud. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
