❤️❤️I’m riding in honor of my mom, who recently lost her fight against ovarian cancer. ❤️❤️  I ride to help raise awareness of signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer so that it may be detected earlier in its progression than it was for my mom.  I ride to raise funds to support the medical and scientific community as they seek new approaches to defeat ovarian cancer.  I ride in support of all the amazing women that have had to cross paths with ovarian cancer.  I ride for my daughter, with hopes that when she is an adult ovarian cancer will no longer be the formidable threat that it is now. 

I haven’t been on a road bike in a very very long time.  And I’ve never cycled more than 30 miles at a time.  But I expect this will still be easier than what women with ovarian cancer go through.  I have a new bike in hand and am ready to hit the road 🚵🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️
