Doris Jones aka Granny Jones from Johnston has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, she has taken her diagnosis with such dignity, bravery and grace.. An absolute inspiration. The family members have taken on all aspects of her care during her last weeks/months with the tremendous support of the Macmillan team. Their professionalism, compassion and support is amazing! So I am doing this run to say thank you to them and in honour of Granny Jones... usually built for comfort not for speed I have decided to take this on and yes I'd much prefer to be lying on the sofa but this is something I'm determined to do and do it well.. Xx
