We fund medical research to help more children beat cancer

Story

Hi, thanks for visiting our page!

Not ones to do things by halves, we have decided to climb Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia. On Nov 1st 2009, we will be attempting the 8.72km two day trek to the summit which lies at 13,435 ft above sea level. Yes we know we are crazy, but we are really looking forward to the physical challenge, beautiful scenery and a nice cold beer at the end, not to mention the chance to raise funds for a great cause!

In April 2008 my nephew Ethan, at 23 months old, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. He is now 3 years old and has been in remission for the past year, he is a proper little monkey!

The NECCR was formed in 1979 by a group of parents whose lives had been affected by childhood cancer. Since then the charity has established the North of England as one of the world leaders in the research and treatment of childhood cancers. The aim of the NECCR is to raise money for the continuing vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer in childhood.

We have been training hard and would be really grateful for any donations and support you could give us to help us on our way and to help us give something back to a great charity!

Cheers
Debs & Richard x
