Story
Hi guys,
A few people from KPMG Bristol have thought it might be a good idea to go for a little walk on June 13th. A team of 14 are planning on attempting the 3 peaks challenge and thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for a good cause.
The Challenge
The challenge is to climb the 3 highest mountains in the United Kingdom:
Ben Nevis 1,334m
Snowdon 1,085m
Scarfell Pike 978m
...all in 24 hrs. This will involve driving between each destination covering approximately 500 miles, with all the driving being completed by the people climbing the mountains.
A rough timetable of the 'walk' is :-
5pm Start Ben Nevis
10pm finish Ben Nevis and start drive to Scafell Pike (7 hour drive)
5am Arrive and start climbing Scafell Pike
10am Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to Snowdon (3hr drive)
1pm Start climbing Snowdon
5pm Finish Snowdon and complete challenge
The Cause
The money raised will go to the intensive care baby unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. It was decided to raise money for this hospital as another member of staff at KPMG has recently had twins which were delivered at the hospital.
The target is to raise £250 as KPMG will match this amount. Please donate anything that you can.
