******UPDATE April 2021******
Last summer, we asked you to help us raise £87,000 to build a school in North Pakistan for under-privileged children.
Thanks to your generosity we met our target of 70% which allowed the construction of the school to start (check out the photos in the gallery above!)
Coming this far means that we can well and truly envisage the end (Insha’Allah!) and give these children an opportunity for an education just like you and I. Alhumdulilah (praise be to God) near the end of March we commenced laying the foundations for the school building. This achievement was a crucial one and a sincere heart felt moment for us, only made possible through all your efforts and kindness.
Step by step we’ve managed to get this project off the ground and we need your help just a little bit more!
During this blessed month of Ramadhan, please remember our project and help us to hit our final target! What’s also great is that this project is eligible for Zakat as well as it being a beautiful form of Sadiqah Jariya - it will help children not only in our lifetime but for many future generations to come - imagine that!!!

This is what your donation today can do for 22 million children in Pakistan who cannot go to school. Without the opportunity to learn to read and write, these children face continued poverty, unemployment and often exploitation. It is time to change lives through reading and writing.
I agree 22 million is a large figure, but WE must start somewhere. That is why I have partnered with READ Foundation to build a school in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan to help 260 underprivileged children get the education they deserve. Together, me and you, need to raise £86,415 in!
Do Not Panic! We will make this vision a reality at a slow and steady pace, brick by brick.
Transparency:
We need to raise £61,000 of the total amount to officially begin construction of the school. The remaining required funds will contribute towards furniture, stationary and other essential supplies.
We will keep you involved from the word 'Go' and will provide you with monthly progress report on the construction. You may also wish to visit the school yourself to get first-hand experience of the joy and hope on the faces of children like Amirah, that your donation will give.
Donation Levels:
£30 - of your birthday money can make us 5 bricks closer to completion
£50 - from your piggy bank can provide a first aid box including basic medicines
£85 - of this month's pay cheque can provide a printer
£200- this generous support can provide quality furniture and material for 1 child
£400+ - this lavish amount can create a classroom space, usable by a different child each year
£800+ - awesome, this can create classroom space for 2 children
£5k - you are amazing, you have just built half a classroom
£10k - incredible, you have just built a whole classroom and can have it named after you or a loved one
Big or small, every donation is as important to this project as education is for children. This project is fully Zakat eligible (obligatory annual charity) and if you are a UK taxpayer, READ Foundation will also benefit from 25% additional Gift Aid. But you are free to choose either way.
Help me to put books in hands of more children and lift them out of a hopeless life into a higher level of education, a level where they can contribute and shape their community and society.
