We offer fun, friendship and adventures to support local children with disabilities

Story

The East Lothian Special Needs Playscheme is a charity which is very close to the hearts and minds of both staff and pupils at Knox Academy in Haddington.

Over the years, many of pupils from the secondary school have benefited greatly from the work of the school holiday clubs.

Knox Academy is rightly proud that many of its pupils have also volunteered in helping the work of the charitable organisation.

On the 26th of May, eight members of staff and 11 senior pupils from the Haddington school will take part in the Edinburgh Half Marathon to help raise funds for the ELSNP to assist it in further developing and maintaining the fantastic service across East Lothian.

A spokesperson for the school said:”We hope that people will help us to raise money for this wonderful cause at the heart of our community and support the efforts of the runners from Knox Academy.”
