On October 16th, my sisters and I will be taking part in The Hearts and Minds Walk for Organ Donation Week. We are doing this to raise awareness about Organ Donation and to mark the importance of it, as well as honouring our dad who passed away in September 2016. We are very proud of our dad, who saved at least 3 lives because he chose to donate his organs. The money we raise will go towards Nelson's Journey and Made a Mark charities. Nelson's Journey in particular really helped my sisters during the immediate months after my dad's passing. They were very supportive while we were coming to terms with our loss and it would be amazing to give something back, whilst also raising awareness of Organ Donation Week which starts on the 19th of September.
