Y Care International believes the best routes out of poverty for young people in developing countries are through enterprise and employment. They help young men and women aged between 15 and 24 to help themselves out of poverty, by providing training which helps them find a job or set up businesses.
Last year the average wage of a young person in Y Care's programmes increased from $17 to $45 within six months of completing their training.
Building on the fantastic efforts from last year, we would like to raise as much money as possible to help continue Y Care's important work to move vulnerable young people living in the world's poorest countries into a more stable future.
The KKR London running team are grateful for your contributions no matter how large or small. Donations accepted in GBP, USD, HKD, SGD, CAD, AED, AUD, ZAR & EUR.
The funds you raise can help achieve so much for
disadvantage young people, here are few examples of what your money can do:
£100 COULD
- provide a young person with training in business
skills they need to start their own business to help lift themselves out of
poverty.
£280 COULD
- provide staff training at a youth friendly health
centre in Madagascar for 4 years, making sure that staff can talk to and treat
young people sensitively
£500 COULD
- provide disaster preparation training for 42 young
people in Liberia so they can reduce the impact of future natural
disasters on their communities.
