City Hospice is Cardiff's local hospice, providing free consultant led community specialist palliative care to those facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Cardiff. We exist to help those suffering from cancer, their families and carers at a most difficult period in their lives.

Story

Hello!

Thanks for coming.

I have taken up the (huge) challenge of participating in Velothon Wales. This is a 140km (87ish mile) bike ride through Wales, involving a couple of crazy climbs up Caerphilly Mountain and the Tumble.

My cycling obsessed boyfriend James is also taking part with me, for moral support/unhealthy competition.

To put it into perspective, the furthest I have ever cycled is around 50km, a third of the Velothon distance, so this is certainly going to take a lot of hard work. I will be training hard for this event in order to try my hardest to complete the ride without walking!

I would absolutely love it if you could donate as little or as much as possible to support me in this adventure. All money raised goes to The City Hospice, Cardiff, who are involved in caring for patients and families of those with life limiting conditions. Take a look here - https://www.cityhospice.org.uk/about-us

I will hopefully be documenting how my training is going, you can have a gander at - https://kjcycles140km.wordpress.com/

Thanks in advance! Wish my legs luck

KJ xx
