Story

On October 15th 2023 I took on the Bath half marathon for Prostate Cancer UK, I ran the race in 1hr & 34mins & raised over £2,000 with my cousin Shauqee Damji.

On October 20th 2024 I will be stepping up aiming to raise over £4,500 (continuing on for my last donations) for Prostate Cancer & run the Amsterdam Marathon in under 3 hours.

The reason I choose Prostate Cancer UK is because along with suicide it is one of the biggest silent killers of men.

Only 1 in 3 men realise early signs of prostate cancer has no systems, 4 in 5 men don’t realise it is ethnicity influenced & 79% of men under estimate the number of gents we lose to it per year, 12,000 lives.

I want to make people more aware & raise as much as I can to help those in the battle at the moment or who will fight the battle one day.

1 in every 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lives, that’s one of your friends from your pub group one of the lads in your Sunday league team.

Time to play my part to change that, this is a huge challenge. But one I am very much looking forward to doing.

I am also partnering with The Brain tumour charity, so any support would be much appreciated.
