Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
UPDATE - Thank you to everyone who has donated, I really do appreciate your support. I now have the running bug and will be running in more 10k races. I won't be asking for sponsorship again you'll be happy to know, but I will carry on donating myself every time I run.
As many of you know I lost my Dad two years ago as a result of heart failure; he was only 63. This, and other bad things that happened at the time, made me wonder about the balance of good in my life. I then decided to do something profound and something I have never been good at before; running! I am not built like a runner, when I started I was very unfit and it isn't a pretty sight to see me running which makes donating to my cause all the better!
I have been training since late last year and now the time has come to start getting sponsorship for my efforts. Any donation however small or large is very much appreciated and I won't be offended if you choose to sponsor Gav who is running for Parkinsons; unless of course you are a close friend or family member of mine!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Big sweaty kisses and hugs to all those who have decided to donate! xx
