Today 11 April 2022 is World Parkinson's Day and I write to ask you for help (yet again if you donated to my JOGLE run)!         I am embarking on 26 May of this year on the first leg (Dartmouth to Troon) of a Sail Round Britain for Parkinson's journey on a 34’ Moody yacht ‘Second Wind’ in aid of Parkinson's with a fellow mariner and RDYC member David Temple and his crew. David’s wife has advanced Parkinson's and I was diagnosed almost four years ago.      

How time flies since that first diagnosis when I thought the bottom had fallen out of my world!   I am so much luckier than some people who have the disease and would like to take this opportunity to see if I can raise yet more money for research and ultimately an end to this unexpected turn in my life.  I have chosen a charity close to my heart – Cure Parkinsons  - and would like to raise money to invest in trying to find the elusive cure.   David has his own Just Giving page – www.justgiving.com/fundraising/davidtemple81 - – if you want to read more about his intended adventures.
