Event: Greater Manchester Marathon 2014, on 6 April 2014
We provide family-led care and support to children with life-limiting conditions

Story

We have first hand experience of the great work that Martin House do and the support and facilities they offer at their hospice in Boston Spa which is for children and young people with progressive life limiting illnesses and their family.

They have a great philosophy which you can read more about here.

I will be running (my first) full Marathon in Manchester - 26.2 miles which is just over 41km, on 6 April (just a few days after my 30th birthday).

Much blood, sweat and tears (literally) have gone into training for this, as well as much time, restraint and enurance of the elements.  If you've ever trained outside throughout the winter months, you'll know what I mean.  Running 10+ miles through sleet and head wind in the middle of winter is never going to be easy :)

Any contribution you can make to this great cause would be so very much appreciated.
