Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From Saturday 23rd October - Monday 25th October, I will be taking on David Goggins 4/4/48 challenge whereby I will be running 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours! This will be just short of 2 marathons in two days.
You are probably thinking this is crazy of me and that I will get no sleep and you are correct however, I am sure you are all aware that I love pushing myself to the max and challenging myself. This will be a challenge physically and mentally and I would love it if some of you can support me throughout. I will be posting the timings of my runs and where I am likely to complete them and it would be great if some of you could join me on a leg of a run.
Another reason I would like to do this challenge is to raise some money for Great Ormond Street Hospital who is a charity close to my heart. For those of you who do not know GOSH saved my brothers life and he wouldn't be here today without them.
When Daryll was 11 weeks old, a consultant told my parents, "take him home and enjoy him. He won't live past his third birthday". Daryll is now 29 years old. He was born with Chronic Epilepsy and would seizure 30-40 times a day. Daryll was part of a small percentage of people suitable for radical surgery - a Hemispherectomy - the rare procedure where half the brain is removed, disconnected or disabled. My parents agreed but were warned he would never walk or talk.
Now I would like to raise a bit more money for them and pay back the favour as much as I can.
Wish me luck and I hope you can support me throughout.
