Story

Dear family and friends,

We are using our impending nuptuals as an opportunity to raise money for a charity we both feel strongly about. We feel fortunate to have never needed to call on any of the UK's Mountain Rescue teams, but know that if anything did happen we would be in very capable hands.

The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association is the umbrella body for mountain rescue teams in Cumbria (UK) and will distribute any money donated equally between their 12 teams. All the teams rely almost totally on donations received from the public and it can cost as much as £1500 to kit out one volunteer member of a team.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks for your donation and we look forward to seeing you on our big day.

Love Kirsty and Steve xxx
