Story

Scott, Ben, Grace and I will be walking the Kiltwalk's wee wander to raise money and awareness of the incredible work of Wishaw NICU.

In the early hours of the morning 12th March 2024, after a healthy and well pregnancy, I went into spontaneous labour at 31+5 weeks. Ben and Grace were born later that day. They then spent 31 days in Wishaw's NICU where Scott and I spent the majority of our time. Between the nurses, doctors, registrars, breastfeeding support, midwives, cleaners and pharmacists all 4 of us were in very good hands and well cared for during this challenging period. We are forever grateful to them for helping our little ones, and ourselves, graduate through the ranks of declining breathing support, establishing feeding, the emotional highs and lows, to eventually coming home to begin our journey as a family of 4.

We are fundraising because this unit is lifesaving and we would love to be able to give back to the staff to continue helping other families.

Thank you!
