Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
The Mackie family have decided to set individual challenges:
Stewart 26 pull ups throughout the day
Kirsty 26,000 steps throughout the day
Hannah 26 'round the world exercises' on Willow the pony
Calum will attempt to run 2.6KM
Please support us to raise £260 to help vulnerable children in the slums of Kenya. Having worked for Tushinde Children's Trust for about 18 months now the charity is close to my heart. The Covid-19 pandemic precautions are hitting Kenya hard. With schools being closed, where children were receiving sometimes their only meal of the day and movement restrictions in place many families who were already on the breadline are now experiencing life-threatening hunger.
We appreciate that many people are suffering here in the UK too and that money may be tight for you but if you can spare £2.60 or £26.00 to help us reach our target then this will go a long way to helping provide food parcels to families that have lost all their income or emergency rent payments for a family about to be evicted.
Thank you.
