Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.
After obtaining a charity place with Cerebral Palsy Sport in 2019, to run the London 2020 marathon; I will FINALLY get my chance to run the London marathon on October 2nd 2022!
During the last 3 years my training has been very stop-start, after the cancelled 2020 marathon, I lost all momentum and did not run for months until I got a chance to run the 'virtual' (basically 26.2 miles around MK). Although I have essentially run the distance, I still feel a huge gap is missing that can only be filled by running the real deal.
I am so proud to be raising money and running for Cerebral Palsy Sport, they are a fantastic charity who encourage people with cerebral palsy to live more active lives by promoting the opportunity, capability and motivation involved in taking part in sport and physical activities.
I was and still am overwhelmed by the amount of support and donations I have received throughout my journey, I would just love to thank everyone who has already donated. If I could raise a little bit more to bring the total raised to £3000 it would mean the world to me.
Only 3 weeks to go and I am so excited but I don't think I will believe it's happening until I'm at the starting line. My leg has been in some pain over the last couple of weeks so I have reduced my training to allow more rest in the hope it will hold up to get me through.
Thank you so much, Kirsty
