Story

As I begin my chemo treatment this spring I wanted to take on a challenge that would help me to stay focussed on keeping fit and healthy!  I’m going to walk 11,000 steps a day this March!  Let me know if you’d like to join me for a stroll!

I was first diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2014. It’s a tricky one to diagnose but if found early there is a 90% survival rate!   Here are some of the symptoms.

  • Persistent bloating - not bloating that comes and goes
  • Feeling full quickly and/or loss of appetite
  • Pelvic or abdominal pain (that's your tummy and below)
  • Urinary symptoms (needing to wee more urgently or more often than usual)

Occasionally there can be other symptoms:

  • Changes in bowel habit (eg diarrhoea or constipation)
  • Extreme fatigue (feeling very tired)
  • Unexplained weight loss
