Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, again.
In January 2007, my lovely little neice Ellen died aged ten months. She was born with a rare liver condition, Biliary Atresia, and underwent surgery when she was only 7 weeks old. The surgery was not successful and she was waiting for a transplant when she died.
Shortly after this, my brother started running, and I ran with him (well, I sort of trailed a few miles behind, panting). It was partly to raise money for charity and partly to have something positive to focus on.
Five years on, you've helped me run 7 marathons and raise thousands of pounds. This year Ellen would have been six years old, and in her memory I will be running 6 marathons in 6 weeks. Well, stagger might be closer to the mark, but I'll get through all 6 no matter what.
The schedule is below, but this page is for all 6 races. All of the 6 are full, 26.2 mile races.
Worcester Marathon - April 15
London Marathon - April 22
Manchester Marathon - April 29
North Dorset Marathon - May 6
Essex and Halstead Marathon - May 13
Richmond Park Marathon - May 20
Total distance - 159.6 miles
The Children's Liver Disease Foundation is working to provide funding for research, information and emotional support to families affected by the many liver diseases that children can suffer from. Approximately 75% of their income is from fundraisers, so any contribution can make a significant difference. The have been a huge support to my family and many others.
