Story
I am going to run a 24 HOUR ULTRA MARATHON to raise money for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland. Since we are staying at home I will run for 24 hours around the outside of my house starting at 0900 on Saturday the 27th of June. My Mum, Dad, Erika and Elizabeth are stars and will make up the laps I miss when I stop for meals etc.
I want to raise money for CHSS because they supported my Grannie after she had a stroke in 2018. Last year whilst at uni I volunteered at the CHSS charity shop after realising value of their services. I met some brilliantly inspirational people in the shop and at the volunteer engagement day. Their lives had all been so positively impacted by CHSS.
Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland provide support and rehabilitation services for the people and families whose lives have been impacted by any of these conditions. They are currently losing more than £500,000 per month due to coronavirus, not to mention that demand is higher as coronavirus negatively impacts people with these underlying health conditions. This fundraising will go towards keeping lifeline services running.
This is a difficult time for everyone but any donations would be amazing and will make all the very repetitive miles more than worth it. 🥰🏠🏃🏽♀️
