my name is kirsty Harlington

many people would say i am a determined young woman with a lot of good personal qualities and great motivation, well.. i haven't always been this way, 

so i woke up one day and was determined to go on a mission to help those who needed it most, I applied for ICS and got the ball rolling, i passed my assessments and became really thrilled knowing i had achieved something really important to me, going to Africa has always been my big dream because i love helping people and its an amazing experience, i am now perusing that dream and hope you can help me.

On the 5th of April i will be jetting off to Ghana to volunteer for a charity called ICS, i will be spending time with an African family my main aim is to improve there quality of life and enhance the families future also helping ICS promote rights for people who live in poverty, cultural exchange but also creating opportunities for those who don't have the luxuries and help develop sustainable livelihoods with them. Giving these people a the same chances as we have in life is important and to be a part of that change is a great honor, these people have nothing so if i can help one family improve and have a future ahead of them it will be mission achieved.

i will be doing sponsored food challenges and bag packing for local supermarkets to raise the money  

The money i raise will help ICS provide materials for the families and to send volunteers over to help people in poverty. I have a target of £800 to raise so i can go over to Ghana and help with resources and human rights.  lets see if i can achieve this one last goal !!!
