Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having been persuaded into taking part in the Great Scottish Swim this August I have decided to take this opportunity to raise some money and more importantly awareness of Sepsis. With this in mind I am swimming for the charity FEAT
FEAT was founded in memory of the late Dr Fiona Agnew and her daughter Isla, who both died after contracting Sepsis in August 2012
Sepsis arises when the body’s response to an infection damages its own tissues and organs. It can lead to shock, multiple organ failure, and death, especially if it is not recognised early and treated promptly. Sepsis kills 37,000 people in the UK every year and is the acute bodily reaction to infection.
I am swimming in memory of Raymond who we sadly lost to this disease 5yrs ago
