Story

 Hello everybody,

As most people are aware my mum passed away last year quite unexpectedly  with cancer, we were very fortunate to receive the care and support not only for my mum but also for us as a family during such a difficult time  which was greatly appreciated. This was from Mount Edgcumbe Hospice who have such amazing staff who do such much. Also this year I lost a very dear friend to cancer and she also spent some time at the same hospice.

So now it's my turn to give something back!! So, I'm running the Virtual Great North Run Half Marathon on September 13th 2020  in memory of my dear friend as she was from Newcastle! I ran the actual race in 2017 it was amazing!!

I'm then running the Virtual London Marathon  on October 4th , due to the Hospice canceling their event because of the Covid cases on the rise I have secured a place in the actual 40th Virgin Money London Virtual Marathon!  I'm running this in memory of my mum, I ran the actual 35th London Marathon in 2015 which was an amazing experience with great support from all my family and friends.

So, as this is a difficult time for all of us with Covid-19 in the world and all of us being affected in one way or another, anything that you can spare to help the hospice continue their amazing work would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!

Kirsty
