Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I was all set to run the Dorchester half marathon training was going well with my friends but then I found a small lump - assuming it was nothing I got it checked. But it wasn't nothing it was cancer - it was a shock! I cannot praise the NHS & DCH enough for my care; I was seen in 2 weeks then operated on in 10 days! After the operation I couldn't wear my sports bra so running the half was no longer possible so I was left to marshall & cheer my friends on. This year I am determined to run this race and would like to raise as much money as I can for the cancer appeal at Dorset County Hospital. After my operation I had to travel to Poole daily for my Radiotherapy - I was very lucky to have my husband and lovely friends who drove me there each day for 3 weeks, but I met lots of people who had come by bus or had long journeys. Having radiotherapy available in Dorchester will help a lot of people. The NHS has been amazing and is providing me with medication for 5 years and yearly mammograms so I want to give something back, please help me to raise money for this great cause if you can.
